As temperatures continue to drop and sniffles and sneezes follow closely behind, it’s a good idea to start thinking about your health this winter. Colds, flus, and respiratory issues are more common in the colder months due to the fact we are contained indoors and have face-to-face contact more regularly.

The harsh winter conditions can also take a toll on both your mind and body, which is why we suggest getting ahead of potential health issues by following our “8 Tips To Stay Well This Winter.”

1. Boost Your Immune System
As we stated above, you’re more likely to catch a cold during the colder months, so it’s important to keep your immune system in tip-top shape. A weak immune system is more susceptible to catching a cold, so why not boost it to decrease your chances on getting sick?

Tip: Try our “Cold and Flu Maximum Strength” as a way to not only treat your cold but prevent one as well.  By adding a few drops to your drinking water and sipping throughout the day to boost your immune system may help prevent cold and flu symptoms from forming.

2. Get Enough Rest
Sleep is imperative to staying healthy and feeling your best. Experts state that getting at least 7 hours of sleep at night can strengthen your natural immunity.

Tip:  If you have a hard time falling asleep at night, consider our natural sleep aid, “Sleep Well.” By rolling-on our sleep aid before bedtime, you will experience a deep and restful sleep.

3. Take Care of Your Skin
If you suffer from a skin condition such as Eczema, you’re aware of how it can flare up during the winter months. Cool conditions can take a toll on your hands and face due to the fact they are more frequently exposed.  If you’re noticing your skin is dry, be sure to moisturize with thicker lotions such as shea butter.

Tip: If you do experience a flare-up, a great remedy is our Eczema Control Remedy. All you have to do is rub it on your skin three to four times a day.

4. Be Proactive with Joint Pain
Have you noticed that your arthritis and joint pain is more irritated during the winter? While winter doesn’t technically cause arthritis, the cold weather can exacerbate symptoms. If you know this is the case with you, be proactive by having your treatment plan in place.

Tip: Our natural joint pain relief will quickly alleviate minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with arthritis.

5. Take Your Vitamins
Again, your immune system is weaker during the winter, so why not incorporate vitamins into your daily regimen? Vitamin D, Vitamin C and Zinc are all immune boosting that can help your body stay strong and fight off disease.

Tip: Give your body an additional boost of vitamins by consuming vitamin rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, and spices such as turmeric that provide natural immune boosting antioxidant.

6. Wash Your Hands
After living through a pandemic, this one should be drilled into your head. By actively washing, you are keeping bacteria and viruses off your hands and preventing transmission of common ailments.

Tip: Always keep hand sanitizer on hand just in case you aren’t near soap and water. You never know when you’ll need it after being in a public place.

7.Stay Warm
Did you know that by staying warm you protect your body’s ability to fight off infection? Cold temperatures can raise blood pressure and increase the risk of flu.

Tip: Keep a hat and gloves in your car just in case the weather takes a turn for the worse.

8. Manage Stress
Have you ever noticed that in a time of great stress in your life, you ending up catching a cold? When your body is under stress, it reduces the number of lymphocytes in the body that are needed to fight off viruses.
